Question Everything

I am going to try to answer some of the more common questions I have gotten about the toys.

What are these things?

By name, they are Muses For A Nightmare. That is the title for the whole group of them made for retail sale. Each piece has a unique title for reference and cataloging purposes.  They were given this title since I tend to work with the creepy that most of them already have.

By category, they are modified toys - repaints. This is the simplest way to describe them in the art toy world.

By fact, they are used, animatrontic kids toys that have been stripped down, repaired as needed or possible, possibly modified, and spray painted.

By selling point, they are art. I call them toys because that is what they started out as but they are created and sold as art. A more fun type of art than you might be used to but still art. Each piece is unique in that because of the use of spray paint, it is impossible to make one identical to another.

Can you do one with this or that specific toy?

Probably but in general no. I might give it a shot. i might not.

Are these things safe for children?

I generally say no because of sharp point, pinch points, and the use of spray paint. As a parent it you decision since you control what your child is exposed to and know their maturity level.

Where can I get one of these?

Occasionally I vend them at events but Artspace At Untitled is the place if you want some any other time.

Are they circuit bent?
